Central Railway Announces Revised Coach Composition for Hussain Sagar and CSMT-Hyderabad Express Trains

Mumbai, July 29, 2025 : Central Railway has announced a revision in the coach composition of two prominent trains operating between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai, and Hyderabad. The changes have been introduced to improve passenger convenience and better manage capacity based on demand patterns.

According to the revised plan, Train No. 12701/12702 CSMT–Hyderabad–CSMT Hussain Sagar Express and Train No. 22732/22731 CSMT–Hyderabad–CSMT Express will now operate with a new coach configuration. The updated composition will include one AC 2-Tier coach, five AC 3-Tier coaches, four Sleeper Class coaches, four General Second Class coaches, one Generator Car, and one Second Seating and Luggage cum Guard’s Brake Van.

The rollout of the new configuration will begin in September. Train No. 12701 Hussain Sagar Express, departing from CSMT, will adopt the revised composition starting September 24, 2025, while its return service, Train No. 12702 from Hyderabad to CSMT, will implement the change from September 25, 2025. Similarly, Train No. 22732 CSMT–Hyderabad Express will operate with the revised coaches beginning September 26, 2025, and its corresponding service, Train No. 22731 from Hyderabad to CSMT, will start running with the updated composition from September 23, 2025.
