Thane, Maharashtra: In a disturbing incident in Padle village, Shilphata, the chairman of a housing society was injured after being dragged on the bonnet of a car following a dispute over a malfunctioning lift. The altercation occurred during a meeting with a lift contractor when the accused attempted to leave abruptly.

The chairman jumped onto the car's bonnet in an effort to stop him, but was dragged for a short distance before falling and sustaining injuries. The police have filed an FIR under sections 281 (rash driving) and 125(a)(3) (endangering life or safety) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Motor Vehicle Act.

No arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing. This incident highlights the importance of resolving conflicts peacefully and lawfully. Residents are urged to report disputes promptly to avoid such incidents.
