New Delhi :The air quality level in the country's capital Delhi was recorded in the 'severe' category on Saturday. According to the data of 9 am on the website of the Central Pollution Control Board, the most polluted air in Delhi was recorded in Bawana and New Moti Bagh areas. AQI was recorded at 409 in Bawana and New Moti Bagh of Delhi. Apart from this, AQI was also at 400 in Rohini area.
When the AQI goes above 400, the level of pollution in the air is considered to be of the 'severe' category. Apart from these areas, the AQI in most areas of Delhi remained between 300 to 400. When the AQI goes above 300 to 400, the air quality level reaches between 'bad' to 'very bad'.
PM 2.5 particles have the highest pollution in Delhi's air. PM 2.5 are very small particles of dust. Water is being sprayed continuously to control these dust particles in Delhi. Along with air pollution in Delhi, the level of pollution in the Yamuna river is also constantly increasing. A thick layer of foam has formed in the river flowing through the Kalindi Kunj area of Delhi.
