GOLD futures drops by 1.09% and SILVER futures drops by 2.17%, while CRUDEOIL futures drops by 0.81%

Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.111800.95 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 06 November 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 26759.9 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 85033.31 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Nov-24 futures was reached at 19278 point.

Commodity Future Contracts:

Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 20748.27 crores. GOLD Dec-24 contract was down by 1.09% to Rs. 77653 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Nov-24 contract was down by 0.75% to Rs. 63127 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Nov-24 contract was down by 0.6% to Rs. 7755 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Dec-24 contract was down by 1.04% to Rs. 77670 per 10 gram.

SILVER Dec-24 contract was down by 2.17% to Rs. 92598 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was down by 2.13% to Rs. 92469 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was down by 2.15% to Rs. 92465 per kg.

Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 6967.91 crores with volume of 8917 lots and OI of 15772 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 7037.48 crores with volume of 25156 lots and OI of 28026 lots.

Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 4018.20 crores. COPPER Nov-24 contract was down by 2.57% to Rs. 837.45 per kg and ZINC Nov-24 contract was down by 1.88% to Rs. 282.45 per kg while ALUMINIUM Nov-24 contract was down by 0.92% to Rs. 241.15 per kg and LEAD Nov-24 contract was down by 0.14% to Rs. 181.5 per kg.

Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2746.34 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 241.96 crores, Lead futures Rs. 49.64 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 662.09 crores.

Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2054.77 crores. CRUDEOIL Nov-24 contract was down by 0.81% to Rs. 6005 per BBL while NATURALGAS Nov-24 contract was up by 0.31% to Rs. 226.8 per MMBTU.

Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 886.54 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 895.27 crores.

AGRI: MENTHAOIL Nov-24 contract was down by 0.04% to Rs. 928 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was up by 0.41% to Rs. 55700 per candy.

Options on Commodity Future Contracts:

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 85033.31 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1537.63 crores.

Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was down by 17.29% to Rs. 165.00 with volume of 105676 lots & OI of 16490 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was up by 9.12% to Rs. 163.9 with volume of 108255 lots & OI of 13201 lots.

Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.230 was up by 5.8% to Rs. 11.85 with volume of 14491 lots & OI of 5094 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.220 was down by 2.59% to Rs. 9.4 with volume of 12202 lots & OI of 5714 lots.

Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.79000 was down by 44.04% to Rs. 540.00 with volume of 3016 lots & OI of 629 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.78000 was up by 26.58% to Rs. 1200 with volume of 2524 lots & OI of 624 lots.

Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was down by 48.9% to Rs. 557.50 with volume of 2626 lots & OI of 2481 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was up by 33.83% to Rs. 1157 with volume of 1810 lots & OI of 1309 lots.
