Mumbai:  Mumbai’s iconic Elphinstone Bridge will be closed from April 10, 2025, for two years due to its demolition and redevelopment by MMRDA. The project includes the new Elphinstone Flyover and the Shivdi-Worli Elevated Connector, aimed at easing long-term traffic congestion.

While the upgrade is promising, the closure will impact thousands of commuters daily, especially those relying on the east-west link between Dadar, Parel, Lower Parel, and Worli.
