Mysterious Death of Woman in Abandoned Mumbai Mall: Police Investigation Underway

Dream Mall, Bhandup, Mumbai: A shocking incident unfolded at Dream Mall in Bhandup, Mumbai, when the body of 30-year-old Manisha Gaikwad was discovered floating in a pool of water in the mall’s basement on Tuesday morning at around 9:30 AM.

Dream Mall, which has been closed since a tragic fire in 2021 claimed the lives of 11 people during the pandemic, is now the site of this chilling discovery. Gaikwad, a resident of Bhandup, was found in the basement area where water had gathered.

The cause of her death remains unclear, as authorities are awaiting a postmortem report. While it’s not yet known whether her death was a natural one or if foul play was involved, the police have filed an accidental death report. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and plan to question Gaikwad’s family to determine when she entered the mall and why.
