According to the FIR, the deceased, Kaif Shaikh, and the accused, Jaffer Khan, both worked as salesmen at a garment shop in Oshiwara, Andheri (West). The altercation reportedly began over the distribution of fruits during Iftar. Around 6 PM, after evening prayers, the argument escalated when Kaif Shaikh slapped Jaffer Khan.

Jaffer Khan retaliated, leading to a serious situation. Shaikh was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.
