Parliament Clash: BJP MPs Injured Amidst Ambedkar Protest

New Delhi: A heated protest in the Parliament premises left two BJP MPs, Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput, injured. The scuffle erupted during demonstrations over Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

The confrontation occurred near the Makar Dwar area, where BJP MPs accused Congress of insulting Ambedkar, while the opposition protested against Shah’s comments. BJP MP Sarangi alleged he was injured after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pushed another MP, causing them to fall on him. Both injured MPs were treated at RML Hospital and are stable.

BJP leaders accused opposition MPs of assault, demanding an apology and an inquiry. Union Minister Piyush Goyal condemned the incident as undermining Parliament’s dignity. Congress leaders denied the allegations, with President Mallikarjun Kharge calling for an investigation, claiming BJP MPs obstructed opposition entry into Parliament.

The incident highlights the growing political rift and raises questions about parliamentary decorum. Investigations may lead to legal action depending on the findings.
