Stock Market Pressure in Early Trading, Sensex and Nifty in the Red

New Delhi : The domestic stock market is experiencing pressure during early trading today. Although the trading began strongly, selling pressure emerged shortly after the market opened, leading to a decline. However, just before 10 AM, buyers attempted to create momentum, resulting in a slight recovery in the market. This was short-lived as selling pressure returned shortly after. After the first hour of trading, Sensex was down by 0.27% and Nifty by 0.42%.

After the initial hour of trading, major stocks like HDFC Bank, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Asian Paints, and HDFC Life showed gains ranging from 3.46% to 0.98%. On the other hand, shares of Tata Consumer Products, Kotak Mahindra, BPCL, IndusInd Bank, and Hero MotoCorp fell between 8.37% and 1.88%.

In the ongoing trading, 2,394 stocks were actively traded, with 929 shares in profit (green) and 1,465 shares in loss (red). Among the 30 shares included in the Sensex, 10 were supported by buying and remained in the green, while 20 were under selling pressure and traded in the red. Similarly, in Nifty, 16 out of 50 shares were in the green and 34 in the red.

The BSE Sensex opened at 81,770.02 points, gaining 545.27 points. However, selling pressure soon set in, causing the index to fall more than 950 points to a level of 80,811.23 points. After this decline, buyers made attempts to recover, briefly pushing the index back into the green around 10 AM. However, this buying momentum did not last, and the index again dipped into the red. As of 10:15 AM, after one hour of trading, the Sensex was at 81,187.75 points, down by 37 points.

Similarly, the NSE Nifty opened with a rise of 102.10 points at 24,956.15 points. Shortly after opening, bears applied pressure, causing the index to drop more than 275 points to 24,679.60 points in the red. Following this decline, there was an attempt to recover with buying support, but the selling pressure returned, pushing it back into the red. After one hour of trading, as of 10:15 AM, the Nifty was trading at 24,807.55 points, down by 46.50 points.

Previously, on the last trading day of the week, Friday, the Sensex closed at 81,224.75 points, gaining 218.14 points or 0.27%. Meanwhile, Nifty ended at 24,854.05 points, up by 104.20 points or 0.42%.
