According to Trump, before Modi became Prime Minister, India was considered "very unstable." He emphasized that Modi, with his leadership, had transformed India, noting, "On the outside, he looks like he's your father. Trump also reminisced about the historic “Howdy, Modi” event in Houston, Texas, in 2019, where Modi addressed a crowd of over 50,000 Indian-Americans. Trump, who was present at the event, recalled the excitement of the occasion. “It was me and him and it was beautiful. It was a gathering of around 80,000 people and it felt like crazy. We were walking about. Today, maybe I won't be able to do something like that,” he said, reflecting on the immense energy of the moment.

The “Howdy, Modi” event, held at the NRG Stadium, was a significant moment in Indo-US relations, with both leaders exchanging compliments and celebrating the growing partnership between their nations.
