Virar: In a shocking incident of domestic conflict, a father attacked his own son with a knife. This incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, leaving the son critically injured. The Joshi family resides in Gokul Garden Society, Gokul Township, located in Virar West. In this case, over allegations of misusing ₹4 lakh from the sale of a house in Malad and being unemployed, the son, Janmesh Joshi, questioned his father, Parikshit Joshi. During the discussion, a heated argument and scuffle broke out between them. In a fit of rage, the father attacked his son with a knife, stabbing him in the chest. The son, Janmesh, was critically injured and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
The incident was reported to the Bolinj Police Station by Joshi's other son, Mit Joshi. Upon receiving information, under the guidance of Nalasopara Division Police Commissioner Vijay Lagore, Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Tendulkar and his team from Bolinj Police Station visited the scene and conducted an inspection. A case has been registered at Bolinj Police Station under Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code for causing grievous injuries to the son and attempting to kill him. The accused is currently absconding, and the police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
