Virat Kohli’s Electrifying Celebration Lights Up Chinnaswamy As RCB Clinch First Home Win in IPL 2025

Bengaluru : Virat Kohli’s passion was on full display as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) clinched a thrilling 11-run victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR), marking their first home win of the IPL 2025 season. The match, played at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, saw high-octane action and emotions as Kohli’s spirited celebration captured the hearts of fans and went viral across social media.

In a video that has taken the internet by storm, Kohli, fielding near the boundary ropes during the tense final overs, could not contain his emotions. After Jofra Archer’s dismissal in the penultimate over by Josh Hazlewood, Kohli was seen shouting in joy, pumping his fists, and urging the Bengaluru crowd to raise their voice. When the final wicket fell in the last over, sealing RCB’s win, Kohli sprinted to the dugout, hugging teammates, exchanging high-fives with the support staff, and soaking in the euphoria of a much-needed victory.

Batting first, RCB posted a formidable total of 205/5, built on solid half-centuries from Virat Kohli (70) and Devdutt Padikkal (50). The duo’s 95-run stand set the foundation for the innings, allowing RCB to accelerate in the latter half.

In response, Rajasthan Royals began brightly, with openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal putting up a 52-run partnership. Dhruv Jurel’s aggressive batting pushed Royals closer to the target. However, a late collapse triggered by Josh Hazlewood’s clinical death bowling turned the tide in RCB’s favor. Hazlewood’s spell of 4-0-33-4 proved decisive, especially his penultimate over, which left RR needing 17 from the last six balls.

Yash Dayal held his nerve and delivered a brilliant final over, as Bengaluru emerged victorious by 11 runs.

The loss dealt a heavy blow to Rajasthan Royals' playoff hopes, marking their seventh defeat in nine games. With qualification chances dwindling, the team must now win all remaining matches and rely on other results to stay in contention.

As for RCB, the win could not have come at a better time. It not only revived their confidence but also reignited their campaign in front of a jubilant home crowd, with Virat Kohli once again leading the charge—this time with emotion as much as with the bat.
