25-Year-Old Model Dies in Bandra Road Accident, Dumper Driver at Large

Mumbai, Bandra West : A tragic accident claimed the life of 25-year-old model Shivani Singh in Bandra West on Thursday night. Shivani, a resident of Malad West and a film industry professional, was riding pillion on a motorcycle with her friend when the incident occurred at Kalantri Square on Ambedkar Road around 8 p.m.

According to the police, a dumper collided with their motorcycle, causing both riders to fall. Tragically, Shivani came under the wheels of the dumper, sustaining fatal injuries. She was rushed to Bhabha Hospital by bystanders but was declared dead on arrival. Her friend, who suffered a fractured leg, was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time.

Eyewitness accounts suggest the rider may have failed to signal while making a turn, which could have contributed to the collision. The dumper driver fled the scene, and authorities have seized the vehicle. An FIR has been registered under Section 106 (causing death by negligence) and other sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Efforts to identify and apprehend the accused driver are underway using CCTV footage from the area.

This incident highlights the urgent need for road safety awareness and stricter traffic enforcement to prevent such tragedies.
