Bloodshed Over Rs 500: Thane Man Kills Brother in a Drunken Rage

Thane, Maharashtra: In a shocking incident in Kalyan, Thane, a 32-year-old man fatally stabbed his younger brother following a heated argument over Rs 500. The accused, Salim Shamim Khan, was reportedly intoxicated when his 27-year-old brother Naseem confronted him for stealing money from his pocket. The quarrel quickly escalated, leading Salim to fatally stab Naseem with a knife.

The tragedy occurred on Tuesday night, and their mother alerted authorities soon after. The police arrested Salim and charged him with murder. The body was sent for a post-mortem, and the investigation is ongoing.

In a separate case, two men were arrested from Uttar Pradesh for their involvement in a deadly robbery at a jewellery shop in Shahapur, Thane. On December 21, the accused shot a salesman during the robbery and fled with valuables. Police teams tracked down the suspects after reviewing CCTV footage and other evidence. A third suspect remains at large.
