Borivali MLA Warns BMC: Relocate Waste Site or Face Agitation

Pranay Nagar, Borivali & Mahavir Nagar, Kandivli, Mumbai: Borivali MLA Sanjay Upadhyay has issued a strong warning to the BMC, demanding the relocation of a waste-segregation site in Pranay Nagar, following multiple complaints from residents about unbearable stench and health hazards. Accompanied by ex-corporator Shiv Shetty and BJP workers, the MLA visited the site and later called BMC officials, stressing that such activities must not take place in residential zones.

“If the BMC does not shift the segregation site to a non-residential area, we will launch an agitation,” Upadhyay declared.

The BMC has been using an open land parcel in the locality, leading to rising public dissatisfaction due to foul odours and environmental concerns.
