Breakthrough in Vasai Construction Contractor's Murder: Gambling Addiction Led to the Crime

Vasai:In a significant breakthrough, the Vasai Crime Branch Unit 3 has successfully solved the murder case of construction contractor Pramodkumar Bind. Despite having no substantial evidence initially, the police team, through meticulous investigation, managed to uncover the truth and apprehend the accused from Uttar Pradesh.

Pramodkumar Bind (52), a resident of Jangidra Yadav Chawl in Gharatwadi, Nalasopara East, was found dead in a pool of blood in his house on the morning of August 24. His throat had been slit with a sharp weapon, leading to his gruesome murder. The Pelhar Police Station had registered a case, but with no leads or apparent motives, the investigation posed a significant challenge.

Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Avinash Ambure, the Crime Branch Unit 3, led by Senior Police Inspector Pramod Badakh, initiated an intensive investigation. Using various techniques, the police tracked down and arrested the accused, Samsher Bind, from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Samsher Bind, a distant relative of the deceased, had a gambling addiction. It was revealed that he committed the murder in a desperate bid to obtain money for gambling.

The investigative team, including Assistant Police Inspector Sopan Patil, Police Sub-Inspectors Umesh Bhagwat, Dnyaneshwar Awhad, Ashok Patil, Manoj Chavan, Sachin Ghere, Mukesh Tatkare, Sagar Barvekar, and Ashwin Patil, played a crucial role in cracking this challenging case. Their diligent efforts led to the successful resolution of the case and the arrest of the accused.
