Delta Airlines Plane Overturns on Landing at Toronto Airport, 18 Injured

Toronto, Canada: A Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis overturned upon landing at Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday, leaving 18 people injured out of the 80 passengers on board. The incident occurred amid strong winds following a snowstorm, officials confirmed.

Among the injured, three people sustained critical injuries, including a child. Two individuals were airlifted to trauma centers, while the child was taken to a children’s hospital. The remaining 12 injured passengers were transported for treatment.

Toronto Pearson Airport acknowledged the incident, stating that emergency teams were responding. Peel Regional Police Constable Sarah Patten confirmed the crash but stated that the circumstances were still under investigation. "Most passengers are out and unharmed, but we're still ensuring everyone's safety," she added.

Videos on social media showed emergency crews at the scene and the plane lying upside down. A passenger narrated in a video, "We just landed. Our plane crashed, it’s upside-down. The fire department is on-site. Most people appear to be okay."

The incident led to over 40 flight delays at Toronto Pearson Airport, with the US Federal Aviation Administration imposing a ground stop at the airport.
