BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the third time today. The ceremony, held at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, also saw Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and NCP's Ajit Pawar take the oath as Deputy Chief Ministers in the newly formed Mahayuti government.

The event, which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various dignitaries, marked the culmination of weeks of political negotiations. The BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP formed a coalition after securing a majority in the recent Maharashtra Assembly elections, with the BJP emerging as the single-largest party with 132 seats. The alliance achieved a commanding total of 235 out of 288 seats.

During the ceremony, Fadnavis expressed his commitment to fulfilling the promises made to the people of Maharashtra, stating that the collaboration with Eknath Shinde was in line with the wishes of the Mahayuti workers.

The security arrangements for the event were extensive, with over 4,000 police personnel deployed to ensure the safety of the 42,000 attendees, including 2,000 VIPs.
