Elon Musk is setting the record straight after TIME magazine featured him on its December cover, dubbing him the “Kingmaker” and listing his major accomplishments. The cover, accompanied by a checklist of his feats—ranging from buying Twitter to launching rockets and even “getting Trump elected”—sparked buzz online.
However, Musk took to his social media platform, X, to clarify that this list doesn’t reflect his true objectives. “I have not done any media interviews, and this is not actually my checklist,” he said, emphasising that his ultimate goal is far more grandiose. “I am trying to make life multiplanetary to maximise the probable lifespan of consciousness,” he explained, acknowledging that some of the items on the list are part of this broader vision, but not the focus of his personal mission.
Musk’s ambitious plans remain centred around SpaceX’s mission to explore Mars and ensure the survival of humanity. While his high-profile business moves and political affiliations often grab headlines, Musk’s real ambition lies beyond Earth
