Virar : A fire erupted in a third-floor apartment at the Kalpavruksha Complex in Global City, Virar (West) on Thursday evening, causing significant damage but fortunately resulting in no injuries. The incident occurred around 8 PM when lit diyas, left unattended on the balcony, ignited clothes hanging outside, leading to a rapid spread of flames into the apartment. Residents, who had stepped out to participate in Diwali festivities, were alerted to the fire when neighbors spotted the blaze and quickly raised the alarm.

Fire brigade officials from the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation responded promptly, deploying two fire engines and a water tanker to the scene. Residents were evacuated safely as firefighters worked to control the situation and extinguish the flames. According to fire officials, the apartment's furniture suffered extensive damage due to the fire.
