Fire in Mumbai Building Claims Lives of Elderly Couple and Their Servant

Mumbai : A fire broke out in the Riya Palace building located in the Oshiwara area on Wednesday morning, resulting in the deaths of an elderly couple and their servant. Four fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene promptly to extinguish the flames.

According to local police, the fire started on the tenth floor of the Riya Palace building around 8:30 AM. The incident caused panic among the residents, who helped each other evacuate the building. However, Chandra Prakash Soni (74), Mamta Soni (74), and their servant, Pelu (42), succumbed to smoke inhalation on the tenth floor. Firefighters later recovered their bodies. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
