Four More Accused Arrested in Baba Siddiqui Murder Case

Mumbai : In the high-profile Baba Siddiqui murder case, police have arrested four more accused. A total of 14 accused have now been apprehended in this case, while three others are still at large. Lookout circulars have been issued against these three individuals.
On Wednesday evening, Mumbai police conducted a raid in Pune and arrested wanted suspects Rupesh Rajendra Mohol (22), Karan Rahul Salve (19), and Shivam Arvind Kohad (20), all residents of Pune, in connection with the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui. Additionally, the police captured 29-year-old Amit Kumar from Haryana. According to the police, Kumar is a significant link between the shooters, including Gurmel Singh, and the alleged mastermind of the murder, Mohammad Jeeshan Akhtar, who is currently at large. The Crime Branch apprehended Amit Kumar on Tuesday evening in Haryana and brought him to Mumbai on Wednesday. The court has remanded him to police custody until November 4.
It is noteworthy that 66-year-old Baba Siddiqui was shot on October 12 outside his son and legislator Jeeshan Siddiqui's office in the Bandra area of Mumbai.
