Intoxicated Stunt Leads to Tragic Death in Kandivli: Auto Passenger's Fatal Fall After Hitting Parked Tempo

Kandivali West, Mumbai: In a shocking incident in Kandivli West, a 30-year-old man performing stunts in an autorickshaw died after hitting a parked tempo on Wednesday night. The victim, Bhushan Bandekar, a heavy goods vehicle driver from Malad, had been hanging out of the moving auto when the accident occurred around 10:30 PM.
Bandekar, who was already intoxicated, was on his way to Hindustan Naka with two friends for a get-together. According to the police, he started performing dangerous stunts inside the vehicle. As he hung out of the auto, he struck a stationary tempo and fell onto MG Road.
The autorickshaw driver, Shivkumar Shetty, rushed Bandekar to Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital, where he was admitted to the ICCU with critical injuries. Unfortunately, Bandekar succumbed to his injuries the following morning. Bandekar's wife, Nandini, later filed a case against Shetty, accusing him of negligence and rash driving.
The incident has raised concerns about road safety and the risks of drunk driving and dangerous stunts.
