Kejriwal Vows Sisodia’s Return as Delhi’s Deputy CM If AAP Wins

Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), confidently declared that Manish Sisodia would return as Deputy Chief Minister if AAP wins the Delhi Assembly elections. Addressing a rally on Sunday in Jangpura, where Sisodia is contesting, Kejriwal announced, "In our next government, Manish Sisodia will be the Deputy Chief Minister."

Kejriwal, referring to Sisodia as his "commander and younger brother," promised continued reforms in Delhi's government schools, emphasizing a bright future for children. He also warned voters about the consequences of electing opposition parties, pointing out that BJP candidates have neglected Delhi's progress.

Echoing Kejriwal’s sentiment, Sisodia claimed that his victory would empower the residents of Jangpura, making them a force to reckon with in government offices. "Every brother and sister in Jangpura will feel the change," he said, insisting that no government official would dare ignore their needs.

Despite being arrested in 2023 in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, Sisodia remains determined. After being granted bail in 2024, he rejected claims made by BJP that he had been offered the Chief Minister position in exchange for joining their party. According to Sisodia, BJP pressured him to join, threatening him with a prolonged jail sentence if he didn't.

Kejriwal and Sisodia, both advocating for better schooling in Delhi, have made it clear that the BJP would shut down government schools if they came to power, making this a pivotal issue in the ongoing election campaign
