New Delhi:The Supreme Court is set to resume the hearing of Arvind Kejriwal's bail plea today, after reserving its judgment on September 5. The Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor had approached the court seeking release from CBI custody in connection with the alleged Delhi excise policy scam.
A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan heard the case for the entire day on Thursday before reserving the judgement. Kejriwal is the only key political leader still in custody, as three other accused have been granted bail in the past month.
The outcome of this hearing will be crucial for Kejriwal, as it could determine whether he continues to remain in custody or is granted relief. The case has garnered significant attention, as it involves a prominent political figure and allegations of corruption.
The Supreme Court's decision will have far-reaching implications not just for Kejriwal, but also for the state of Delhi and its governance.
