Kidnapping, Ransom, and a Thrilling Police Rescue: Building Contractor Saved in 24 Hours

Mumbai, Dongri: In a daring police operation reminiscent of a thriller, a 45-year-old building contractor was rescued within 24 hours of being abducted by his acquaintance over a money dispute. The abduction unfolded when Abdul Syed, a fellow contractor, demanded a Rs 25 lakh ransom from the victim and threatened to kill him if it wasn’t paid. Syed, along with accomplices Hanif Khan, Sajid, Vadala, and Mohsin, physically assaulted the contractor and forcefully transported him to a secluded room near the Dagdi mosque in Sewri, where he was confined and beaten.
As the threat to the contractor's life became evident, the Dongri police sprang into action, quickly forming a special team to track the victim's location. After locating him, the police swooped in, rescuing the contractor and arresting Syed and Khan. Although two accomplices managed to escape, authorities are intensifying the hunt for them.
In a relief to the public, both Syed and Khan were remanded to police custody, and the contractor is now safe, thanks to the swift action of the Dongri police. The investigation continues.
