Kolkata Doctor Rape-Murder Case Highlights: CISF Deployed at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

Kolkatta,In the ongoing investigation of the tragic rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been granted permission by a special court to conduct polygraph tests on key suspects. The tests will be carried out following the court’s order and require the suspects’ consent.

The incident occurred on August 9, when the trainee doctor was assaulted and killed inside a seminar hall at the hospital. The suspects under investigation include former RG Kar Medical College principal Sandip Ghosh and four other doctors who were on duty at the time of the crime.

The court’s approval allows the CBI to perform the polygraph tests on these individuals, as well as the primary accused, Sanjay Roy. This investigative tool is part of the agency's efforts to uncover the truth behind the horrific incident and determine the extent of each suspect’s involvement.

The polygraph test, commonly known as a lie detector test, is a crucial element in the investigation, providing insights that could help in solving the case. The CBI’s request for such tests reflects their commitment to thoroughly examining all potential leads and gathering evidence to ensure justice for the victim.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and the outcome of these tests may have significant implications for the ongoing investigation.
