Maharashtra: 19-Year-Old Attacks 3 Train Passengers with Knife, Arrested

Thane, Maharashtra: A 19-year-old youth, identified as Sheikh Ziya Hussain, was arrested after he attacked three passengers with a knife on a local train traveling from Kalyan to Mumbai. The incident took place around 9:45 AM on Wednesday.

Hussain, a resident of Mumbra, became agitated upon realizing that the train would not stop at Mumbra station. When he failed to disembark at Dombivli, he got into an argument with fellow passengers. In a fit of rage, he pulled out a knife and attacked Akshay Wagh (25), Hemant Kankaria (45), and Rajesh Changlani (39), who sustained injuries but were later discharged after medical treatment.

Other passengers managed to subdue Hussain and handed him over to railway police at Thane station. Dombivli Railway Police have registered a case and initiated further legal proceedings. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
