Maharashtra Assembly Elections: Celebrities Step Out to Cast Their Votes Mumbai, November 20, 2024

Mumbai:As the Maharashtra Assembly elections began on Wednesday, several Bollywood celebrities made their way to polling stations early in the morning, ensuring their voices were heard in the democratic process. Prominent figures such as Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Rajkummar Rao, and Kabir Khan were among the early voters, with their pictures and videos quickly circulating on social media. Akshay Kumar, known for his active participation in social causes, was spotted at a polling booth in Mumbai, where he engaged with both the media and fellow voters. As he exited the station, reporters asked him to show his inked finger, a symbol of casting his vote.

Akshay, ever the cheerful personality, responded, “The best thing is the arrangements are really good. I saw that planning was done well for senior citizens. It's clean too. Yahi hai ki sab log aaye, vote kare (Everyone should come and vote). That is the most important thing." Akshay also shared a light moment with reporters when one of them remarked about his early arrival at the booth. The actor laughed, pointing out that the reporter had arrived even earlier than him. For the outing, Akshay kept it casual in a black shirt paired with grey pants, embodying a simple yet effective look for the occasion. The celebrities' participation in the elections underscored the importance of civic engagement, with many using their platforms to encourage citizens to come out and vote. The Maharashtra elections have seen a significant turnout of not just political figures but also the entertainment industry's support, further reinforcing the vital role that every vote plays in shaping the future of the state.
