Massive Fire Erupts at Dwarka Apartment in Delhi; Several Residents Jump to Escape Blaze

New Delhi, June 10: A massive fire broke out at Shabd Apartments in Sector 13, Dwarka, on Tuesday morning, triggering panic among residents and leaving several people trapped inside. The fire reportedly started around 10:00 am on the seventh floor of the residential building.

Upon receiving the emergency call, multiple fire tenders rushed to the spot, and a full-fledged firefighting and rescue operation was launched. Senior officials from the fire and police departments also reached the scene to supervise the ongoing efforts.

Dramatic visuals circulating on social media showed flames and thick black smoke billowing out of the apartment complex. In one of the videos, residents could be seen trapped inside the building, desperately seeking help. According to eyewitnesses, at least three individuals jumped from the apartment in a bid to escape the fire. Their current medical condition is not yet confirmed.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined, and officials have not yet reported any casualties. However, ambulances are on standby to transport any injured individuals to nearby hospitals.

A sky-lift is being deployed to rescue people still stranded in higher floors of the apartment, while fire officials continue to douse the flames and control the spread.

So far, the extent of property damage is unclear, and an assessment will be made once the fire is brought under control.

Authorities have urged the public to stay away from the site to ensure rescue operations are not obstructed. Further updates are awaited as the situation unfolds.
