Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.70688.37 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 09 October 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs.11082.21 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs.59604.86 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Oct-24 futures was reached at 18651 point. Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs.6018.47 crores. GOLD Dec-24 is traded at 75160 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Oct-24 contract was down by 0.06% to Rs.60572 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Oct-24 contract was down by 0.12% to Rs.7383 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was down by 0.08% to Rs.74736 per 10 gram. SILVER Dec-24 contract was up by 0.68% to Rs.89331 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was up by 0.61% to Rs.89267 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was up by 0.61% to Rs.89274 per kg. Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs.2046.74 crores with volume of 2722 lots and OI of 15762 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs.1948.58 crores with volume of 7267 lots and OI of 30114 lots. Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs.3404.46 crores. COPPER Oct-24 contract was down by 1.06% to Rs.826.1 per kg and ZINC Oct-24 contract was down by 1.21% to Rs.277.15 per kg while ALUMINIUM Oct-24 contract was down by 0.92% to Rs.232.6 per kg and LEAD Oct-24 contract was down by 1.06% to Rs.181.3 per kg. Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs.2337.78 crores, Aluminium futures Rs.324.89 crores, Lead futures Rs.50.07 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs.520.81 crores. Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs.1699.71 crores. CRUDEOIL Oct-24 contract was down by 1.55% to Rs.6147 per BBL while NATURALGAS Oct-24 contract was down by 2.33% to Rs.226.4 per MMBTU. Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs.691.90 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs.803.17 crores. AGRI: MENTHAOIL Oct-24 without any changes 916 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was up by 0.41% to Rs.56980 per candy. Options on Commodity Future Contracts: Commodity Options accounted for Rs.59604.86 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs.1302.51 crores. Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6200 was down by 23.89% to Rs.170.80 with volume of 73401 lots & OI of 9982 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6100 was up by 32.24% to Rs.173.5 with volume of 60373 lots & OI of 9870 lots. Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.240 was down by 21.93% to Rs.7.30 with volume of 10411 lots & OI of 10802 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.220 was up by 27.27% to Rs.9.1 with volume of 8403 lots & OI of 5247 lots. Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.75000 was up by 1.51% to Rs.1508.00 with volume of 318 lots & OI of 272 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.74000 was up by 1.53% to Rs.865 with volume of 509 lots & OI of 841 lots. Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.89000 was up by 7.54% to Rs.3706.00 with volume of 253 lots & OI of 153 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.80000 was down by 12.2% to Rs.514.5 with volume of 107 lots & OI of 952 lots.
