MCX records turnover of Rs.15267.84 crores in Commodity Futures & Rs.57747.07 crores in Options

Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.73018.29 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 till 4:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 15267.84 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 57747.07 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Jun-25 futures was reached at 22634.
Commodity Future Contracts:
Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of GOLD and SILVER futures variants clocked Rs. 12696.50 crores. At the time of writing, MCX GOLD futures, with August-2025 expiry was down by Rs.3 to Rs.97170 per 10 gram, GOLDTEN June-2025 contract was down by Rs.86 or 0.09% to Rs. 96877 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA June-2025 contract was down by Rs.236 or 0.3% to Rs. 77816 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL June-2025 without any changes 9766 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM July-2025 contract was down by Rs.5 or 0.01% to Rs. 96698 per 10 gram.
SILVER futures, with July expiry contract was up by Rs.163 or 0.15% to Rs. 107250 per kg, while SILVERM June-2025 contract was up by Rs.203 or 0.19% to Rs. 107000 per kg and SILVERMIC June-2025 contract was up by Rs.224 or 0.21% to Rs. 107033 per kg.
GOLD futures clocked turnover of Rs. 6092.36 crores with volume of 6294 lots and OI of 14322 lots while SILVER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2188.31 crores with volume of 6825 lots and OI of 26384 lots.
Base Metal: Turnover of base metal futures products accounted for Rs. 1116.37 crores. COPPER June-2025 contract was down by Rs.2.15 or 0.24% to Rs. 880.45 per kg and ZINC June-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.05 or 0.02% to Rs. 252.35 per kg while ALUMINIUM June-2025 contract was up by Rs.0.15 or 0.06% to Rs. 239.9 per kg and LEAD June-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.4 or 0.22% to Rs. 178.75 per kg.
COPPER futures clocked turnover of Rs. 729.22 crores, ALUMINIUM futures Rs. 112.26 crores, LEAD futures Rs. 27.34 crores, and ZINC futures clocked turnover of Rs. 169.47 crores.
Energy: Turnover of energy futures products contributed for Rs. 1267.10 crores. CRUDEOIL June-2025 contract was up by Rs.46 or 0.83% to Rs. 5611 per BBL while NATURALGAS June-2025 contract was down by Rs.0.7 or 0.22% to Rs. 310.5 per MMBTU.
CRUDE OIL futures clocked turnover of Rs. 414.52 crores and NATURAL GAS futures Rs. 671.81 crores.
AGRI: MENTHAOIL June-2025 contract was down by Rs.2 or 0.22% to Rs. 910 per kg .
Options on Commodity Future Contracts:
Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 57747.07 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 818.06 crores.
CRUDE OIL Options: Most traded contracts among CRUDE OIL Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.5600 was up by Rs.22.9 or 27.52% to Rs. 106.10 with volume of 82514 lots & OI of 14936 lots, while CRUDE OIL Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.5600 was down by Rs.31 or 26.05% to Rs. 88 with volume of 66087 lots & OI of 16672 lots.
NATURAL GAS Options: Most traded contracts among NATURAL GAS Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.320 was down by Rs.0.75 or 6.67% to Rs. 10.50 with volume of 12074 lots & OI of 10545 lots, while NATURAL GAS Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.310 was up by Rs.0.7 or 4.93% to Rs. 14.9 with volume of 11185 lots & OI of 4921 lots.
GOLD Options: Most traded contracts among GOLD Options were Call Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.97000 was down by Rs.60.5 or 3.58% to Rs. 1630 with volume of 1327 lots & OI of 458 lots, while GOLD Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.96000 was down by Rs.4.5 or 0.43% to Rs. 1036 with volume of 1350 lots & OI of 850 lots.
SILVER Options: Most traded contracts among SILVER Options were Call Option June contract at Strike price of Rs.110000 was down by Rs.38.5 or 2.6% to Rs. 1440 with volume of 1292 lots & OI of 1969 lots, while SILVER Put Option June-2025 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was down by Rs.73 or 16.86% to Rs. 360 with volume of 1191 lots & OI of 2556 lots.
