Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.54852.04 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 10 October 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 7317.91 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 47533.29 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Oct-24 futures was reached at 18655 point. Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 3593.40 crores. GOLD Dec-24 contract was up by 0.13% to Rs. 75030 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Oct-24 contract was down by 0.04% to Rs. 60423 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Oct-24 contract was up by 0.01% to Rs. 7369 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.08% to Rs. 74572 per 10 gram. SILVER Dec-24 contract was up by 0.31% to Rs. 89150 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was up by 0.3% to Rs. 89100 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was up by 0.29% to Rs. 89118 per kg. Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1460.74 crores with volume of 1945 lots and OI of 15585 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 962.99 crores with volume of 3598 lots and OI of 31033 lots. Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 2278.11 crores. COPPER Oct-24 contract was down by 0.32% to Rs. 823.6 per kg and ZINC Oct-24 contract was up by 0.52% to Rs. 277.9 per kg while ALUMINIUM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.41% to Rs. 233.6 per kg and LEAD Oct-24 contract was down by 0.47% to Rs. 180.7 per kg. Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1634.62 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 151.36 crores, Lead futures Rs. 49.59 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 312.51 crores. Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1450.25 crores. CRUDEOIL Oct-24 contract was up by 1.73% to Rs. 6225 per BBL while NATURALGAS Oct-24 contract was down by 1.39% to Rs. 219.6 per MMBTU. Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 588.12 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 660.13 crores. AGRI: MENTHAOIL Oct-24 contract was down by 0.04% to Rs. 922 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was up by 0.51% to Rs. 57100 per candy. Options on Commodity Future Contracts: Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 47533.29 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1024.52 crores. Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6200 was up by 32.65% to Rs. 206.00 with volume of 63439 lots & OI of 9645 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was down by 29.94% to Rs. 88.9 with volume of 41402 lots & OI of 10098 lots. Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.230 was down by 14.2% to Rs. 7.55 with volume of 10000 lots & OI of 9507 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.220 was up by 17.24% to Rs. 11.9 with volume of 12366 lots & OI of 6291 lots. Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.75000 was up by 1.93% to Rs. 1373.00 with volume of 243 lots & OI of 400 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.75000 was down by 3.15% to Rs. 1335.5 with volume of 120 lots & OI of 372 lots. Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was up by 3.39% to Rs. 2366.50 with volume of 170 lots & OI of 826 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.89000 was down by 3.47% to Rs. 3397.5 with volume of 101 lots & OI of 113 lots.
