New Delhi : Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, retains his position at the top of the list of India's richest industrialists. In the Forbes list of the 100 richest entrepreneurs in the country, Gautam Adani, head of the Adani Group, ranks second. Notably, for the first time, the combined wealth of the 100 richest people in the country has surpassed one trillion dollars.

According to Forbes, Mukesh Ambani has become the second most profitable beneficiary in the world in terms of earnings, with his wealth increasing by $27.5 billion over the past year to reach a peak of $119.5 billion. However, due to fluctuations in the stock market, his current net worth stands at $108.3 billion. Forbes claims that with this net worth, Mukesh Ambani is currently the 13th richest person in the world. In contrast, Bloomberg's Billionaires Index places him 14th in the global rankings.

According to Forbes, the Gautam Adani family ranks second among India's wealthy industrialists, with a combined wealth of $116 billion. The Savitri Jindal family is in third place with $73.7 billion. Additionally, the Radha Krishna Damani family, Sunil Mittal family, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Cyrus Poonawalla, and the Bajaj family are included in the top 10 richest industrialists.

Forbes’ report specifically highlights that, for the first time, the combined wealth of the country's top 100 richest individuals has exceeded one trillion dollars. The total wealth of these 100 individuals currently stands at $1.1 trillion. Forbes attributes this increase in entrepreneurs' wealth primarily to a strong surge in the stock market.
