GOLD futures gains by 0.14%, while SILVER futures drops by 0.55%: CRUDEOIL futures drops by 1.05%

Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.73353.2 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 20 December 2024 till 5:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 9862.05 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 63489.78 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Dec-24 futures was reached at 18330 point. Commodity Future Contracts: Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 5407.06 crores. GOLD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.14% to Rs. 75757 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Dec-24 contract was up by 0.05% to Rs. 60923 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Dec-24 contract was down by 0.11% to Rs. 7583 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Jan-25 contract was down by 0.06% to Rs. 75144 per 10 gram. SILVER Mar-25 contract was down by 0.55% to Rs. 86704 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was down by 0.6% to Rs. 86807 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was down by 0.58% to Rs. 86822 per kg. Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1874.57 crores with volume of 2473 lots and OI of 14750 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1458.50 crores with volume of 5584 lots and OI of 37664 lots. Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1784.06 crores. COPPER Dec-24 contract was down by 0.47% to Rs. 793 per kg and ZINC Dec-24 contract was down by 0.18% to Rs. 278.3 per kg while ALUMINIUM Dec-24 contract was up by 0.56% to Rs. 242.6 per kg and LEAD Dec-24 contract was down by 0.71% to Rs. 175.25 per kg. Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1027.37 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 196.68 crores, Lead futures Rs. 49.54 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 363.56 crores. Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2678.13 crores. CRUDEOIL Jan-25 contract was down by 1.05% to Rs. 5871 per BBL while NATURALGAS Dec-24 contract was up by 4.24% to Rs. 311.9 per MMBTU. Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 387.89 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1939.63 crores. AGRI: MENTHAOIL Dec-24 contract was up by 0.14% to Rs. 929 per kg and COTTONCNDY Jan-25 contract was down by 0.57% to Rs. 53710 per candy. Options on Commodity Future Contracts: Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 63489.78 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1047.42 crores.

Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.5900 was down by 15.38% to Rs. 159.00 with volume of 46990 lots & OI of 17767 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Jan-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.5900 was up by 22.95% to Rs. 194.5 with volume of 42280 lots & OI of 7838 lots. Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.310 was up by 86.84% to Rs. 10.65 with volume of 44642 lots & OI of 7638 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.310 was down by 41.69% to Rs. 9.3 with volume of 43816 lots & OI of 5773 lots. Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.76000 was up by 5.53% to Rs. 582.50 with volume of 2769 lots & OI of 661 lots, while Gold Put Option Dec-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.75000 was down by 13.35% to Rs. 376.5 with volume of 1749 lots & OI of 1817 lots. Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.90000 was down by 5.43% to Rs. 2410.00 with volume of 272 lots & OI of 1217 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.87000 was up by 3.84% to Rs. 3638.5 with volume of 320 lots & OI of 181 lots.
