Meerut: Wife Kills Merchant Navy Officer with Lover, Hides Body in Cement-Filled Drum

Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking crime, Merchant Navy officer Saurabh Rajput was murdered by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil. The duo dismembered his body and hid it inside a plastic drum filled with cement to cover up the crime.
Saurabh had recently returned from London and was living with his wife and five-year-old daughter in a rented house. According to the police, he was murdered on March 4. During interrogation, Muskan and Sahil confessed to stabbing Saurabh to death, cutting his body into pieces, and sealing it inside the drum with cement.
Shockingly, after the murder, Muskan went on a vacation with Sahil to a hill station. To avoid suspicion, she sent misleading messages from Saurabh’s phone to his family. The crime came to light when Muskan’s mother informed the police, leading to the arrest of both accused.
When the police arrived at the house, they struggled for two hours to break open the drum, as the cement had hardened. The body was later recovered and sent for post-mortem. A large crowd gathered outside as police retrieved the remains.
Meerut SP City Ayush Vikram confirmed the case, stating that both Muskan and Sahil have been arrested, and an FIR has been registered. Further investigation is underway.
