Mira Road Station Staircase Closure from July 25 Due to Improvement Works

Mumbai, July 22 – Western Railway has announced the closure of the south-side staircase of the second southernmost Foot Over Bridge (FOB) at Platform No. 1 of Mira Road railway station. This move is part of the ongoing station improvement project aimed at enhancing commuter facilities and safety.
According to Western Railway’s official press release (WR Press Release No. 2025/07), the staircase will be dismantled and will remain inaccessible to the public starting from the night of July 25, 2025.
To facilitate uninterrupted movement for passengers, the railway authorities have advised commuters to make use of alternative routes. These include the Middle FOB, North FOB, and South FOB, all located at Platform No. 1 and equipped with staircases, escalators, and elevators.
Western Railway has appealed for the cooperation and understanding of the public during this period and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
