Mumbai Airport Seizes 2.427 Kilograms of Gold and Electronic Goods Worth 42 Lakhs

Mumbai : The Customs Department team has seized 2.427 kilograms of gold and electronic goods worth 42.14 lakhs at Mumbai Airport. The customs recovered these items from a trash bin in the airport's departure area and from the undergarments of suspicious individuals.
Customs sources stated that a special operation was conducted at Mumbai Airport from October 16 to 18. During this operation, suspicious passengers were examined in seven different cases. In a significant action, the customs team seized approximately 2.427 kilograms of gold valued at 1.70 crores and electronic goods including smartphones worth 42.14 lakhs on Friday. An in-depth investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to identify the actual traffickers.
