Mumbai Shock: Woman Found with Blade in Private Parts, Claims Rape

Goregaon East, Mumbai: A 20-year-old woman was found in critical condition in Goregaon East, leading to a shocking rape investigation. Police rushed her to Jogeshwari Trauma Hospital before transferring her to KEM Hospital due to the severity of her injuries. Gynaecologists at KEM Hospital successfully removed a surgical blade enclosed in a packet from her private parts.

The victim, who alternately claims to have traveled from Lucknow or Banaras with her uncle on January 20, says she was raped near Goregaon. She alleges that her attackers forcibly inserted the blade before she escaped, though details of how she reached the area remain unclear.

Multiple police teams are investigating, reviewing CCTV footage from Bandra to Goregaon, and verifying travel records. Hospital Dean Dr. Sangeeta Ravat confirmed the woman is stable and under medical care. Forensic experts led by Dr. Ravindra Deokar are collecting evidence and determining her age.

Due to the sensitive nature of the case, detailed medical reports will be handed over directly to the police. Senior officers are closely monitoring the investigation as inconsistencies in the victim’s account emerge.
