New Delhi : The Supreme Court is set to hear the NEET PG 2024 case on Friday, October 25. The plea, which seeks transparency in the results and selection process, was last discussed on September 20 when the court directed the National Board of Education (NBE) to respond to the petition. The plea also requested for the disclosure of answer keys and question papers of NEET-PG 2024, as well as standardization of marks due to concerns over discrepancies in ranking process.
The results, announced by NBE on August 23, have caused distress among students who noticed unexpectedly low rankings after comparing their scores with unofficial answer keys. In early October, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) urged for timely conduct of NEET PG 2024 counselling in a letter addressed to Union Health Minister JP Nadda.
The IMA highlighted the concerns and uncertainty surrounding the delay in counselling due to the ongoing case in the Supreme Court. With the hearing approaching, students and medical associations await a resolution that will ensure transparency and fairness in the NEET PG 2024 selection process.
