No Day Block on WR Suburban Section This Sunday; Night Block Scheduled Between Vasai Road and Vaitarna

Mumbai, 26 June 2025: Western Railway (WR) has announced that there will be no day block on its suburban section this Sunday, 29th June 2025, providing relief to daily commuters and weekend travellers.
However, a night block will be in effect between Vasai Road and Vaitarna stations to facilitate essential maintenance work. According to a press release issued by Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, a jumbo block of three hours has been scheduled on both the UP and DOWN Fast lines during the intervening night of Friday/Saturday, i.e., 27th/28th June 2025. Block Timings: UP Fast Line: From 11:50 PM to 2:50 AM DOWN Fast Line: From 1:30 AM to 4:30 AM
The block has been scheduled to carry out maintenance work on tracks, signalling systems, and overhead equipment to ensure safe and smooth operations of train services. As a result, Train No. 19101 Virar–Bharuch MEMU will be delayed by 15 minutes, departing from Virar at 4:50 AM instead of its usual time of 4:35 AM. Passengers are advised to check with the Station Master’s office for any further updates or assistance regarding train schedules during the block hours. While night commuters are urged to plan their travel accordingly, the absence of a Sunday day block will be a welcome move for weekend suburban travellers.
