Plane Skids off Runway in South Korea, 28 Passengers Dead, Death Toll Likely to Rise

Seoul, December 29 : A major accident occurred on Sunday at Muan International Airport in South Korea when a plane caught fire. At least 28 passengers have died in the incident, and the death toll is expected to rise.
According to reports, the plane was a Jeju Air Boeing 737-800, carrying 180 people, including 174 passengers and 6 crew members, returning from Bangkok. The aircraft skidded off the runway and crashed into a wall, after which it caught fire. The fire brigade team stationed at the airport immediately sprang into action. The fire was brought under control, and the injured were taken to hospitals. Rescue operations are ongoing at the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
It is noteworthy that just a few days ago, there was a plane crash in Kazakhstan, in which 38 of the 67 people on board lost their lives.
