PM Modi virtually flagged off six Vande Bharat trains in Ranchi

Ranchi: On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched off six Vande Bharat trains for Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh in Ranchi. Previously, the PM was planned to flag off trains from Tatanagar, but his helicopter was unable to take off owing to poor visibility and adverse weather conditions. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar were present at the Tatanagar station. The new trains will operate on the Tatanagar-Patna, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Rourkela-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi, Bhagalpur-Howrah, and Gaya-Howrah lines. The trains will provide speedier connection, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office. The advent of these Vande Bharat Express trains will assist normal travelers, professionals, company owners, and students alike. These trains would enhance religious tourism in the region by offering a speedier way of transportation to pilgrimage sites such as Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar (Jharkhand), Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Kalighat, and Belur Math in Kolkata (West Bengal), among others. The coal and mining industries in Dhanbad, jute industries in Kolkata, and the iron and steel ancillary industry in Durgapur would all benefit significantly, according to the statement.
