Sangeeta Bijlani’s Pune Farmhouse Burgled: Actress Files Complaint, Investigation Underway

Pune, July 19, 2025 : In a shocking incident, Bollywood actress and former Miss India Sangeeta Bijlani’s farmhouse in Maval, Pune, was broken into by unidentified thieves. The incident came to light on July 18, 2025, when the actress visited the property after a long time, only to find it vandalised and several valuables missing.

Bijlani, known for her roles in films like Tridev, Hathyar, and Jurm, immediately lodged a complaint with the local police. According to a report by Times Now, the actress stated that the main gate and window grill of the farmhouse had been broken. Upon entering, she discovered that one television set was missing, another was damaged, and several household items had been vandalised — including a bed, refrigerator, and CCTV cameras.

"Today, I went to the farmhouse with my two househelps. As soon as I reached there, I was shocked to see that the main gate was broken. When we went inside, the window grill was broken, one TV set was missing and another was broken," Sangeeta told police officials in her formal statement.

The case is being investigated by local authorities under the supervision of SP Sandeep Singh Gill. The police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the property and surrounding areas to identify the culprits. Several other valuables are also suspected to be missing, although an exact list is yet to be confirmed.

So far, Sangeeta Bijlani has not issued a public statement or posted anything about the incident on social media.

While she has been away from the film industry for several years, Bijlani remains a popular figure due to her appearances at public events and high-profile social gatherings. Just a few days ago, she celebrated her 65th birthday with a grand party attended by several celebrities, including superstar Salman Khan — her former partner — with videos and photos from the event going viral online.

This burglary has raised concerns over security in farmhouse properties around Pune, especially those left unoccupied for long periods.
