Mumbai: 12-Hour Water Supply Disruption in Mulund West on July 19 for Road Development Work

Mulund, Mumbai | July 19, 2025 : The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that water supply will be completely shut off for 12 hours in several areas of Mulund (West) on Saturday, July 19, due to development planning work on Yogi Hill Road in Veena Nagar.

The water cut will be in effect from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, affecting thousands of residents in the locality.

Affected Areas:

  • Malabar Hill Marg

  • Swapnanagari

  • Veena Nagar

  • Model Town Marg

  • Yogi Hill Marg

  • Ghatipada

  • B. R. Marg

Advisory for Residents:

BMC has urged all residents of the affected areas to store sufficient water in advance, preferably by July 18, and to use water judiciously during the disruption period.

Once the water supply is restored, the civic body has strongly advised citizens to:

  • Boil and filter water before consumption.

  • Avoid using unfiltered tap water for drinking or cooking until normalcy is confirmed.

The regular water supply timing in the affected areas is from 7:00 PM to 1:00 PM (next day), and residents should anticipate potential fluctuations even after restoration.

The BMC has appealed to all citizens for cooperation and patience as this temporary inconvenience is aimed at improving infrastructure under the ongoing development planning road work.
