Sri Lanka Road Accident, Four Officers Injured in Presidential Security Division

Colombo, 01 February : A vehicle from the Presidential Security Division of Sri Lanka met with an accident in the capital Colombo this morning. The accident occurred near the 70th kilometer post on the Thalawa-E28 road. Four officers from the Presidential Security Division were injured in the incident.
According to the Daily Mirror, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with an electricity pole. At the time of the accident, four police officers from the Presidential Security Division were in the vehicle. All four were injured and were initially taken to Thalawa Hospital. From there, they were referred to Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital for further treatment. Police have stated that an investigation into the incident is underway.
It is worth noting that exactly 10 years ago, on September 10, 2015, a road accident occurred in which five officers of the Presidential Security Division lost their lives, and several others were injured. This accident took place near Miriswatte on the Minuwangoda-Colombo Road.
