Stock Market Weakens in Early Trade, Sensex and Nifty in the Red

New Delhi, January 27 : The domestic stock market showed pressure during early trade today. The market opened with a decline, but after opening, buying support helped the market recover somewhat from lower levels. Despite this, both the Sensex and Nifty indices continued trading in the red. By 10 AM, the Sensex was trading down by 0.52% and the Nifty by 0.49%.

By 10 AM, major stocks in the market such as Britannia, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank, Nestlé, and ITC were trading up by 1.62% to 0.32%. On the other hand, stocks like JSW Steel, Shriram Finance, Bharat Electronics, Power Grid Corporation, and IndusInd Bank saw declines ranging from 2.58% to 1.86%.

So far, 2,414 stocks were actively traded in the market. Of these, 223 stocks were in the green, making profits, while 2,191 stocks were in the red, incurring losses. In the Sensex, 9 out of the 30 stocks were trading in the green, supported by buying, while 21 stocks were under selling pressure and in the red. Similarly, in the Nifty, 10 out of 50 stocks were in the green, while 40 stocks were in the red.

The BSE Sensex opened today with a loss of 490.03 points at the level of 75,700.43 points. Due to selling pressure at the opening, it fell to 75,545.93 points. However, after that, buyers came in, and the index showed some improvement. By 10 AM, the Sensex was trading at 75,793.30 points, down by 397.16 points.

Similarly, the NSE Nifty opened with a loss of 152.05 points at 22,940.15 points. Due to selling pressure at the opening, it dropped to 22,910.85 points, but after that, buying support helped the index recover. By 10 AM, the Nifty was trading at 22,980.10 points, down by 112.10 points.

Earlier, on the last trading day of the previous week, Friday, the Sensex closed down by 329.92 points, or 0.43%, at 76,190.46 points. The Nifty ended the day down by 113.15 points, or 0.49%, at 23,092.20 points.
