Tragic Fall in Powai: Young Insurance Employee Loses Life in Pantry Accident

Powai,Mumbai: In a tragic incident, a 27-year-old employee of an insurance firm lost her life after an accidental fall from the 11th-floor emergency window of her office pantry in Powai on Thursday evening.
The victim, Jinal Vora, a Borivli East resident, was reportedly having coffee near the emergency window at Supreme Business Park when the accident occurred around 8 PM. Witnesses mentioned she fell onto the garden on the 10th floor, sustaining severe head injuries.
Her colleagues, who were preparing for a manager's birthday celebration at the time, rushed her to Hiranandani Hospital. Despite their efforts, Vora succumbed to her injuries at 8 AM the following day.
Powai police have registered an accidental death report (ADR) after initial investigations ruled out foul play. “The family has not raised any suspicion, and we are reviewing the CCTV footage for further clarity,” a police official confirmed.
Vora’s husband, Siddharth Kakka, a lawyer, expressed initial disbelief upon receiving the news, stating that he was informed she fell due to drowsiness. However, he later learned of the fatal fall from the 11th floor.
Police continue their investigation to ensure there was no foul play while maintaining an ADR classification in the absence of complaints from the family.
