Western Railway to Undertake Major Block at Kandivali Yard for Dismantling Work

Mumbai, 30th May 2025: Western Railway has announced a 36-hour major block at Kandivali Yard to facilitate the dismantling of the elevated booking office. The block will be implemented on the 5th line and yard lines from 1:00 PM on Saturday, 31st May 2025, until 1:00 AM on Monday, 2nd June 2025.

According to a press release issued by Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, during the block period, suburban and mail/express trains will be operated on the Fast Line to minimize disruption. However, several long-distance trains will experience partial cancellations, short terminations, or originations.

Affected Train Services:

1. Train No. 19418 Ahmedabad – Borivali Express
   Journeys commencing on 30th & 31st May 2025 will short terminate at Vasai Road.
   Partially cancelled between Vasai Road and Borivali.

2. Train No. 19425 Borivali – Nandurbar Express
   Journeys on 31st May & 1st June 2025 will short originate from Bhayandar.
   Partially cancelled between Borivali and Bhayandar.

3. Train No. 19426 Nandurbar – Borivali Express
   Journey commencing on 31st May 2025 will short terminate at Vasai Road.
   Partially cancelled between Vasai Road and Borivali.

4. Train No. 19417 Borivali – Ahmedabad Express
   Journey on 1st June 2025 will short originate from Vasai Road.
   Partially cancelled between Borivali and Vasai Road.

In addition, a number of suburban trains will be cancelled during the block.

Western Railway has advised passengers to check with local Station Masters for specific updates and to plan their journeys accordingly. The railway authorities have appealed for cooperation and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused during the essential infrastructure upgrade.
