26-Year-Old Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Exploiting Teen with Job Promise

Mumbra,Mumbai: A 26-year-old man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for exploiting a 15-year-old girl under the guise of offering her a job opportunity. The incident took place in January 2019, when the convict and his accomplice, who is still at large, convinced the victim to join them with promises of employment.

The teen, a student at a government school, went missing after leaving her house. Her family launched an extensive search across several areas of Mumbai, including Andheri, Kurla, and Bandra, but could not find her. After nearly 24 hours, the teen was located near Mumbra station, where she was found in distress. She explained that she had been led around the city and eventually taken to a rented room in Mumbra. While her accomplice left the next morning, the convict remained, and his actions led to the investigation.

Following the case, the convicted man received a 10-year sentence, marking a significant step towards justice.
